About The PM

The PM Diary Is Written By A Former Institutional Trader With Experience Across Traditional And Digital Asset Markets.

The Newsletter Exists To Document Decision-Making, Risk Awareness And Market Interpretation-Not To Promote Trades Or Promise Outcomes.

I was a full time derivatives trader having initially started my career in investment banking. I joined a proprietary trading firm as a futures trader before leaving after several years to found a tech startup. Seeing the growth of digital assets I started taking positions again primarily in Dogecoin which led to growing capital significantly and returning to the business full time. Seeing so many retail traders discuss their losses in digital assets online, I wanted to provide an avenue for retail traders to understand how full time traders in banks and funds think about position taking. Everything from understanding the thought process of a trade to managing the weighting of a portfolio that is used in each trade to controlling risk.
